Big Moby Tackle is owned by myself, Chris Salter, and my wife,
Marjorie Salter. We purchased the business in November 2007 from Marilyn Peterson, former owner of the Guide Shop, who had
started Big Moby Tackle over 20 years ago and had turned it into an extremely successful tackle business. When she
and her husband decided to retire they put it up for sale and we stumbled upon it. My love for fishing and desire for affordable,
quality tackle is what made me realize that this is the perfect business for me! I custom paint all the blades and make the
spinners out of my home. My wife packages the spinners and does the record-keeping for our business.
Aside from building and painting spinners I also work full-time as a teacher while my wife works part-time, also as a teacher, and stays at home with our newborn daughter. We are extremely excited about our new business and are working hard to build quality lures as well as strive for excellent customer service and satisfaction. Please be patient with us as we work on our website to enhance the design as well as add new products. Currently our products are available on-line as well as in some local fishing shops (see our links on our home page). Also, look for our ad in the April and May issues of Salmon, Trout, Steelheader.
